Creation Museum & Ark Encounter - November 2016

This month has been a dream volunteer job.  Wayne and I have been busy busy busy making and constructing items to go in the ark.  Visit arkencounter.com to view the up and coming ark to open mid summer 2016.  We have been asked not to publish many pics because the opening is very top secret and forthcoming.  We will post a few and once the ark is officially opened we will post many more.
Construction Site of Ark in Williamstown, KY

I have been busy embroidering costumes to be worn by Shem, Mrs. Shem and Ham, under the direction of Sandy who is only 27 years old with a wealth of knowledge and serves the Creation Museum diligently with the skills that God has given her to worship and make HIM known.

Wayne has been busy in the fabrication dept. constructing many wooden tools, furniture, and animal cages for the ark.

The first weekend we were here we were so blessed to get in on a personal tour of the ark in its construction stages in Williamstown, KY.  All of our volunteer efforts have been in warehouse located close to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY.  Because Wayne's many cousins are located in Cincinnati (just over the Ohio River), we were able to visit with them on weekends so the 2 weeks have been action packed.  When you are in the Cincinnati area, one must visit United Dairy Farmers, Graeters, Skyline Chili and Frisch's Big Boy in order to get the full affect.  So, that being said we are going to have to diet aggressively if we want to enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities once we get back to NC.  Ohio in the Fall is so picturesque.  Craft fairs are fun too!

We are leaving tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn and driving till we see the porch light at 119 Windy Hill Dr., Cherryville NC.  The 2 g'girls from Arizona (and mom and dad!) come Thursday night and it will be a whirlwind at our house for 2 weeks!  Lilly will come over and it will be a regular little day care!  We can't wait.  All 3 girls in one location, life don't get any better than that!  We will celebrate all 3 of their birthdays and just act crazy.

We definitely plan on returning to the Museum, maybe another week in December.  This has been a real education and working with these people has blessed us beyond comprehension.  Till the holidays............RV crazy or what?!
