Ethnos360, McNeal, AZ - January 2019

Ethnos360, McNeal, AZ
January 2019

3 days before we traveled back to McNeal, AZ to work January 2019, we experienced 4 inches of snow in Benson, AZ, first time in 37 years!  It was beautiful, but honestly, snow on saguaro cactus????? Just ain't right!

Parked at Escapees RV Park in Benson, AZ.

Something about this picture ain't right!
Snow on cactus!!!!

Last month Wayne had corrective surgery
on his right thumb and 2nd day into this
project he gets the cast off.

Surgery was successful!

The men are painting the exterior of a pre-fab unit.  Wayne is enjoying painting without that cast on!

Bill McClintick gets the job
of rolling on the paint!
50 degrees but sun is shining.

We were suppose to have an additional couple on the project this month, the Brooks.  They encountered a frozen slide the day they were to drive in which caused them repair work that will delay their arrival 1 week.  Bill's wife, Betsy, is recuperating from a broken toe which means she will be off of it for 1 week. Gail has been busy working in the Mission Barrel, taking Christmas decorations down in the Fellowship Hall and cleaning housing for incoming families for Evaluation Week.

Joyce Brooks doing some major plant cleaning.  Windows look awesome too!

Jeff Brooks, we know you did not pick out that color, but it grew on us!

Brooks on the left, Wayne & I in middle and the McClinticks on the right.

Painting and window cleaning going on here.

Time out to take the girls to Legoland!

And of course, ice cream at Culver's!

Children's Museum in Phoenix.

And then there is night time stories with G'pa in the bunk beds!

Whaaaaat?  Snow ball fight inside!

Grandparents proud moments - Bible Quizzing.

Medals for Bible Quizzing - the ultimate.

January was cold in McNeal, periodically we ventured to Tucson where it was considerably warmer!  Times spent with the g'girls are taxing on g'parents but oh, so worth it.  We are PROUD!

Now off to Benson for 2 months of rest and relaxation (RIGHT!)  Then to the TX Rally end of March and then 6 months of SOAs at our home project - Harvest Time Bible Camp.  How do you get your retirement days to slow down????  Work years never went this fast!
