Dry Creek, LA - March 2018

We left for Searcy AR on Feb. 23rd to get windows in RV repaired, then to Dry Creek, Louisiana for our March project on March 2nd.  While having window repairs done in Search, AR we met a fun couple Linda & Glenn Raetzel. We played many card games and lots of Pegs & Jokers!  The guys were not very merciful and won every game we played. Pooey on them!

After one week at Searcy at RV Fog Dr. we traveled to Dry Creek, LA to volunteer at the Dry Creek Baptist Camp. We worked there until March 22nd.

Our group.......Wayne center!

Judy Berger and Tony Vejar.

A rocking chair full of SOWERs!

One of the men's projects were
to repair the bottom 1/2 of the wall
in the dishwashing area and replace
with heavy duty shelving and a
on-demand hot water tank.

Then the men added on a sport
storage room behind the dishwashing
room.  The ladies painted the outside
once it was finished.

One of the ladies' projects was
to re-vamp the front flower bed to the
dining hall.  Once new plants
were in place the front was
beautiful.

Finished shelving in kitchen.

Finished sport extension after
new paint job.

Don't dare us ladies!
We had to give this new sport
extension a name.  Guess who
is in charge of the new storage
unit!!!!

Amy Vejar (driver) and
Gail working on flower bed
in front of dining hall.
That was some hard dirt (mud) and
lots of roots to contend with.

Just call us flower ladies!
Azaleas were in full bloom this
time of year.  After a days work
in the dirt, the flowers beauty was
definitely showcase!

Another of the ladies projects was
to apply stain/sealer on these new
benches that would be strategically
placed around the camp.
Mosquitos in this are were plentiful!

Pastor's daughter kept
us well entertained.  Now
this girl can put away some
crawfish!

One of our outings close by was
a crawfish/rice farm.
Very educational!

Selling by the sackful.

Our parking place at Dry Camp Baptist Camp. Skeeters plentiful during the month of February and March 2018.
